- Why Not Me? seems to tie into some of the reflections I have been doing lately about life. Here’s a taste, and then you need to go on over and read the rest: When I worked as an oncology social worker, a young patient once told me after a patient support group, “I am so tired of all these folks who complain, ‘Why me? Why me? Why not me? Am I better than anyone else that I should avoid cancer and they have it? It’s terrible to have cancer, but it’s no more or less fair that it comes to one person and not another.”
- Pope John Paul II in pictures – LOVE IT!
- And what about the tears in my eyes when I read the short but meaningful quote found at If You Lead a Meaningful Life, You Never Really Die? I’d excerpt it here, but it’s really so short that I’d be bringing over the whole thing. Do yourself a favor. Go over there and get some warm fuzzies.
Don’t settle for just these few gems that caught my eye, though; who knows what treasure you’ll find over there? (For example, you can find out what the Bible says about homosexuality, read the pastoral letter of the Kansas bishops on embryonic stem cell research, and find out about something positive to do for Lent.)
