What a nice surprise, being nominated for the Nice Matters Award by Jean and Denise.
“This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Once you’ve been awarded please pass on to seven others whom you feel are deserving of this award”.
Well, shucks, ladies, THANKS. I think you’re both just as nice as they come too!
My nice nominees (many of whom have been awarded already, because they’re just so NICE!):
Adoro at Adoro te Devote: She always gets me thinking and often makes me stop in my tracks. I leave it to Adoro to leave me a nice little note on my blog on a post that did, in fact, come right from my heart (even if it looked like it came straight out of my camera).
Barb at SFO Mom: Barb could make me laugh or think on any given day, and sometimes with the same post. Barb’s nice in a way that makes me think
Donna at Embracing Motherhood: I think I could call Donna “
Jim at Real Life Rosary: Jim’s proof that you don’t have to be a woman to be nice. He might just be nice because he married an amazing woman or because he corrals all four of dem boys around. But I think there’s more to it than that. Jim’s just a nice guy. And he’s proof that nice guys don’t always finish last.
Kitchen Madonna: KM is so nice that she has convinced me to own an apron! I mean, this lady is nice with a capital N and a perky KM thrown in. But her flavor of nice has chips in it, so watch out…it’s nice, with a kick (like the kick of a buckin’ bronco, methinks). Just the sort of thing we farm girls get a good chuckle out of.
Literacy-Chic at Words, Words: LC is nice in the most thinking-est kind of way. She writes the kinds of things that I always mean to write posts in response to and never do (but she’s nice and understanding about that, nice person that she is).
Michelle at Rosetta Stone: She says herself that she’s no St. Therese. And I don’t believe it, nope I don’t. She’s a dose of reality that is nice to read, because it’s reality that’s tempered by five-almost-six kids and a military lifestyle too. Michelle doesn’t pack any punches, but she does make a great conversation partner sitting under a shade tree cuddling a toddler and entertaining a small child and drinking an iced tea. Michelle’s the kind of nice that you can sit on your front porch swing with for hours and not grow tired of. She’s the kind of nice that you can laugh with and to, in a nice way.
Here at Snoring Scholar, you'll find marriage and motherhood, book talk and rambling remarks, observations and distractions, in the midst of life in rural Ohio on a farm, with kids, critters, and Catholic flair.
