Finding the Joy in the Small

October 22nd, 2009 · 2 Comments · Small Successes

Thursdays inspire thoughts of the weekend, enjoyment in the knowledge that, no matter what kind of week it’s been, I’ve accomplished something.  That’s what small successes are, really: an acknowledgment of the small somethings that add up to something bigger.

small_successes_badgeHere’s my small list for this week:

1. We took a break from “school” this week. Rather than striving for go-go-GO, we’re being relaxed this week.  It’s nice.

2. I haven’t sent that badly worded email that’s in my drafts folder.  By tomorrow, I may even be able to delete it.

3. In an email with one of my very favorite groups, Popple, sending me the download of their new album (which I was no longer able to resist purchasing), I took a jump and asked if I could interview them for my blog. And because I took that little step in asking, I was able to read the word YES.  How cool is THAT?

How about you?  What are your small successes this week?  Share them at Faith & Family Live!

Congratulations Sarah! I can’t wait to read the interview. I had not heard of the group before so thank you for introducing me.
I hope the next week has as many successes. Blessing and Grace…

Congratulations on the interview! I do not know that group at all. Also, great job on #1 . . . it is so good to take it easy!
