Go to Him

November 10th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Quotes

Jesus is waiting for you in the chapel. Go and find him when your strength and patience are giving out, when you feel lonely and helpless.  Say to him, “You know well what is happening, my dear Jesus.  I have only you.  Come to my aid…”

And then go your way.

And don’t worry about knowing how you are going to manage.  It is enough to have told our good Lord.

He has an excellent memory.

Yes, indeed! That’s a good thing to remember, isn’t it?

Years ago, before my husband, I was having some serious relationship problems with another guy. I couldn’t figure out whether I should stay in it and keep trying, or whether I should just move on. The stress of trying to figure it out was literally making me ill. Finally I just prayed and said, “God, I’m passing this whole situation over to you. Figure it out and get back to me, okay?”

It helped more than I can say. And it wasn’t too long before I got the clarity I needed.

Nope, Jesus doesn’t forget. Lucky us.
