Hand in there Sarah. BTDT, sue I will be there again. But of all seasons, this is one to be a little disengaged in spite of going to the Rose Bowl, us upstarts from the SW corner of the State are treading on OSU's football territory. Of course, the media makes it a bigger "fight" than it really is. I've been realliy into football this year between my son playing in his HS band and the Bearcats sucess.

Sarah, Thanksgiving traditions...when we were first married there were huge expectations from both of our families to participate in the great Thanksgiving perfection marathon and food splurge. Not really a day of family and nurturing but one of tension, too much emphasis on food preparation at the expense of family time, etc. What we had each experienced as kids growing up. After we started to have kids it got worse because for that day (and Christmas) we stopped being parents and became those kids again with all the demands to "be there" and try and male it somehow perfect. It was enough to make Tahiti for Thanksgiving sound awesome. Fortunately my dear wife said "enough!" and we began to do OUR Thanksgiving with our (new) traditions, centered on being thankful. Now, sometimes one or the other child has a conflict with a significant other's family and we are able to take it in stride because we are reminded to thank God for the gift of each other and our wonderful kids, even the ones who can't be at the table that day. I hope you and your family have a wonderful, blessed Thansgiving. Mark
