I grew up on a farm and agree that most people are ignorant about what raising livestock entails. I've been wanting to read the Omnivore's Delusion - maybe I'll get around to that now. I'm also with you on how ridiculous it is when people treat their pets as children (and actually have pets instead of children). I'd love to see you blog about that!
