1. It’s been an out-of-normal struggle for the last few weeks. The good that’s come out of it, though, can be found in the freshly-washed kitchen floor! (Might be a while before THAT’s done again!)
2. I made lasagna last night. At my husband’s request. And according to him and my father-in-law, it was good. Go me!
3. I asked my husband for something frivolous. Something seemingly silly. Something I dreamed about as a girl. Something, to me, that is outrageously expensive. (No, not an iPad!) He said yes. I’m elated. (And keeping the doubting “should we spend that money?” voices at bay, thank you very much.)

Better Small than Nothing
If I'm not off hiding somewhere with a good book, chances are I'm chasing a kid or a dog or sleeping, because every mom can use a nap! I found Prince Charming and married him, and now we enjoy the idiosyncrasies of life in an old farmhouse. Oh yeah, and we root for the Buckeyes. Every time.

Great job Sarah! You are truly an inspiration to me. We continue to pray for you and your family. God Bless.

You can’t mention the “something frivolous” and not tell us what it is! Since it’s something you’ve wanted since you were a girl I’m going to guess that you’re getting a pony until you tell us otherwise. (If I’m right, it will be the second time this week that I correctly guessed something of this magnitude.)

ohhhh, lasagna……yummmmm. Maybe I should put that on our meal list for next week!
Congratulations!

Sarah, I am with Karen, I guess pony…but in any case, since you mentioned it, you have to ‘fess up!
And, FYI, the loving exchange that occurs between husband and wife is NEVER frivolous…NEVER! I pray to God to be more sensitive to the “frivolus” in my marriage and that other married couples see this as a blessing. SO, thank you for sharing this as a success. You continue to show the rest of us.

Just because your dad couldn’t get you a pony as a child shouldn’t keep you from having one now. My guess is with Mark and I agree that the frivolous thing are way cooler than the fansy and fantastic. Bob is with me in liking the L word. Can’t get it enough. Keep up the God Work.

Karen – your pony comment is hysterical!
Sarah – as always, you rock. God bless you and Mary keep you….I pray for you and the whole family every day. You are loved!
