Coming Up Not-Empty

May 6th, 2010 · 2 Comments · Small Successes

1. I have been sleeping in in the mornings. Instead of pushing myself to get up an hour or two before the kids, I’m letting myself have those hours of sleep.

2. Yesterday, I stopped everything and just took a nap. It was grand. (When I woke up, I saw my fairy mother-in-law had shown up.)

3. Today, though we might end up leaving the house to run an errand that may prove critical, we are staying home. And I might just do some waaaay overdue cleaning. (So where’s the success in that? I dunno. But I’m counting it anyway.)

Great job on cutting back! Sleep is so so important. I am thinking of re-prioritizing my time now that my kids are getting up so early with the sun!

I am so pleased you mentioned sleeping. We seem to think we must go, go, GO and in reality, our bodies and souls are designed for balance which includes real rest. It also is a blessing to try and fit into the rhythm of the day instead of the clock. I’m so glad you reminded me!
