I read "The Things That Keep Us Here" after I read your review. It was excellent--and powerful.

I still haven't read the Midnight Dancers because I have to finish college! Can't finish college while reading Regina Doman...she is awesome!! I love your book list, haven't read ANY of them, so they are next on my list, to be read in August, when I am done w/ my 2 online classes. Thanks for the reviews! Loving your blog.

Have you ever seen "The Well Educated Mind" by Susan Wise Bauer? (Not "The Well TRAINED Mind" by the same author). This book teaches you HOW to read books, and she begins with a list of fiction books. Although I have read at least a third of them already, I think I'll use her list for my summer reading. The ones I read, I did so in high school. I'd like to re-read some classic through the eyes of an adult.
