My review shelf is out of control (60 books at last count) and my to-read shelf isn’t any better (at 62 and growing).
I have a whole box of brand-new review books that I’ll never get around to reading.
So, thought I, why not share them?
I’m not usually such a fan of giveaways. I know it drives traffic, blah blah blah, but that’s really not my motivation. I just want to declutter and share the wealth.
So until further notice (or until I run out of stuff), I’m going to be doing a weekly giveaway on Wednesdays.
This week’s giveaway:
Firmly on the Rock: 120 Reflections on Faith
By Debra Herbeck (Servant Books, 2012)
From the back cover:
If you’re struggling with doubt and discouragement, these reflections from saints and writers who had their faith tested in every way–but who held firmly to that rock–will help you gain the insight you need to hold on to faith, no matter what your circumstances.
The Temperament God Gave Your Kids: Motivate, Discipline, and Love Your Children
By Art & Laraine Bennett (Our Sunday Visitor, 2012)
From the back cover:
Do you have a child who is “into” everything? Your energetic, bubbly child is often the center of attention–and sometimes in the middle of trouble!
Or perhaps you have a child who is just the opposite: quiet, studious, and slow to warm up in social situations.
Then there’s the future lawyer: that argumentative, willful child who sometimes makes you want to pull your hair out.
As parents, we all have, at one time or another, wondered: Where did this child come from? Why isn’t he just like me? Am I doing something wrong?
You are not doing anything wrong, and there is very likely nothing wrong with your child! The differences described above are all differences in God-given temperament. When you understand your child’s unique temperament, you will have the key to unlocking his behavior, moods, and motivational focus.
Accepting entries until 7 AM Eastern one week from today.
The fine print: One entry per person, please. You must have a valid email address, which I promise not to use for anything other than this giveaway. You enter the email as part of the comment form–you do not have to include it in the body of your comment. Good luck!
**Contest is now closed. Congratulations to Wende and Sarah!**
