Small Success Thursday

1. I planned my dinners for this week. Ahead of the day of consuming them.

2. All 1000 baskets of laundry: empty. That’s because the clothes were (gasp) PUT AWAY. In the dressers and closets.

3. Why yes, there IS still dog hair e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. But at least I made the oldest kid vacuum the floor. (It looks like a nine-year-old swept. But it’s better than it was.)

Now, go forth and share YOURS over at CatholicMom.com!

three small successes: sent a card to encourage a member of the church who is going to join the church at Easter, sent an email to connect with a neighbour who is ill (but I have a cold and do not want to get her sick), wrote a card to thank a deacon for being Christ like in his invitational nature…

Love those, Kath! They inspire me to try to focus on encouraging others for small successes! :)

I read this article on Busted Halo where the author talked about sending 40 cards in 40 days. Real mail-not texts, not bills, not junk mail. A little bit of love penned in your hand to encourage, thank or bless someone. How easy. How powerful.

trying to live out the love of Christ does not have to be hard or time consuming!!

So, my first year of Catholic Lent (13 years ago?!?), I did that, inspired by a friend of mine. It was quite a project. Good for you!!! :)

“Real mail” is hugely encouraging. That’s a great idea.

You know, it’s also fun to do. Because it’s almost novel! :) I think I’m going to have to make this some sort of goal in the coming month.

NICE! I’ve started delivering laundry to the room of the owner, instead of folding it in the laundry room and leaving it in baskets there. My people are old enough to put their own laundry away. If they don’t, well, at least I’m not tripping over it in the basement. I’ve gained so much ROOM down there without 4 baskets on the floor…imagine!

My laundry system needs some work, Barb. Had it all figured out and then…things changed…

My system had been in place for 22 years and wasn’t working for most of that. All my kids would rather live out of a basket than put clothes away. I just relocated the basket to their rooms. If they want to trip over it, they can. I don’t need to trip in my work area!

OK, so THAT is what I need to do! Ding ding ding! Thank you!!!
